I can do my right leg, but my left leg just isn%26#039;t flexible AT ALL. thanks
What are some good stretches for the splits?
What ever you did to train your right leg, you should be doing for your left leg. There are no short cuts to gaining flexibility. Just make sure that you are very warm before you stretch. Run around the block then stretch. If you don%26#039;t, you will only injure yourself.

just like hold it 3 times a day. it sometimes hurts your stomach and leg muscles, but after a few weeks your splits will be perfect. just breathe and listen to music.
Reply:I am the same way, there is nothing you can do about it. it is just the way you are built. sorry.
Reply:do the same for what you did on the right leg it is just practice

Reply:the absolute best stretch for splits is the straddle stretch.
i got mine by doing the following patterns.
sit in straddle with your arms above your head, tilt torso right. hold for an 8 count. sit up, keeping legs in straddle, tilt your torso to the left, hold for another 8 count. sit up again, legs still in straddle, and bring your chest towards the floor- catch yourself with your arms- you should feel the stretch in the inside of your upper legs, but don%26#039;t stretch so far you injure yourself- hold for an i count. repeat this entire pattern 8 times. then do the same pattern, but instead of tilting to the side, rotate your torso to face your leg and bend forward so your head is above and facing your knee.
i used to do these patterns once a day and then my three different splits after, both sides and centre, holding for another 8 count. i continued the pattern after i was flat, in order to maintain flexibility in all three split positions. it helped imensely.
